ISRAEL AND U.S. EXPLORE OIL FIELDS IN GOLAN HEIGHTS

        Tel Aviv, 13 Rabi’ul Akhir 1434 H/23 February 2013 (MINA) – Israel took an advantage behind the Syrian crisis by inviting the U.S. energy company to explore oil fields in the Golan Heights in an attempt to strengthen its grip.
         According to Press TV reports received by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA), that the decision to issue the first oil-exploration permit in the Golan Heights to the New Jersey-based company Genie Energy came after the Israeli regime opted to allow oil and gas exploration there
        The Observer said the move was pushed by Israel through its National Infrastructure minister, Uzi Landau, who stated that the Golan would not easily be returned to Syria.
        “Now is the time for Israel to take control of the Golan Heights because Syria’s military will not be able to stop us. They are still busy with the intern political problems. So it will not be able to harm Israel,” said an Israeli political analyst Yaron Ezrahite.
       He added, “This is the part of Israeli ploy to deepen its commitment to master the Golan Heights “.
       Israel captured the Golan Heights from Syria in the Six Day War tragedy in 1967. At that time, Israel also controls the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
      The total Annexation of the Golan Heights in 1981 by Israel was never gain the support by the international community. It was because Israel violated international law.
       Israel has also annexed the West Bank and continues to expand its illegal settlements there, although they eventually withdraw its troops from the Gaza Strip in 2005.
      Syria crisis began in March 2011 and until now no less than 70,000 people and a number of Syrian security were killed in the civil war.
      The official Syrian government says that the turmoil in the country has been controling from abroad, it was proved that many of the oppositions are a foreign troops.  (T/P04/E1)
