IRAN TO INVITE MALAYSIAN AND INDONESIAN SPEAKERS FOR ROHANI INAUGURATION

       Teheran, 15 Ramadan 1434/23 July 2013 (MINA) – An Iranian parliamentary delegation is set to visit Malaysia and Indonesia to invite parliament speakers of the two Asian countries to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Iranian president-elect Hassan Rohani early next month, an Iranian lawmaker says.

       Vahid Ahmadi told Fars news agency that the delegation of Iran’s Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee will leave for Indonesia, on the first leg of the visit, on Tuesday.

      The main objective of the visit is to invite parliament speakers of Indonesia and Malaysia to Rohani’s inauguration, but the fate of Iranian nationals held in detention in the two countries will be also discussed, Ahmadi said.

      He added that the Iranian parliamentary delegation will also hold meetings with Indonesian and Malaysian lawmakers.

         Iranian lawmakers Mohammad-Saleh Joker and Fathollah Hosseini will accompany Ahmadi, according to Fars news agency report monitored by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA).

         Rohani’s swearing-in ceremony is scheduled to be held on August 4, one day after his endorsement by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. (T/P01/E1).
