Okazaki, MINA – The Iranian national team dominated Pakistan in the men’s volleyball semifinals at the 2026 Asian Games in Japan on Friday.
In the match held at the Okazaki Chuo Sogo Park Gymnasium, Japan, Amin Esmaelnezhad and his teammates defeated Murad Khan’s squad in a commanding 3-0 victory (25-13, 25-15, 25-11).
Iran did not allow the Pakistani players to reach the 20-point mark in any of the sets.
Iranian outside hitter Ali Haghparast was the match’s top scorer with 21 points.

This victory secures Iran’s spot in the 2026 Asian Games men’s volleyball final, where they will face the winner of the match between Japan and Iran on Saturday (Oct 3). Meanwhile, Pakistan will compete for the bronze medal on the same day. []
