INDONESIAN NGO’S AWG DISTRIBUTES IFTAR TO GAZANS

Bogor, 28 Ramadan 1436/15 July 2015 (MINA) – Indonesian humanitarian agencies that focuses on Palestinian liberation, Aqsa Working Group (AWG) in this Ramadan has distributed at least 2,500 packages of iftar to the Palestinians in Gaza Strip.

The chairman of AWG, Agus Sudarmadji said, his agency cooperated with local humanitarian, Palestinian Welfare House Association, led by Syaikh Jomah Al-Najjar distributed the packages to some region of Gaza, especially in Jabaliya district.

“The prize of one package is a dollar, and we have sent $ 2,500 in first edition. We will immediately send again for this program, “said Agus in Bogor, Tuesday. He explained that the package consist of Hubus (bread), dates, laban (yoghurt), and mineral water, distributed by mosques in Jabaliya, Gaza North.

Agus said, the program is a part of permanently humanitarian aid to Gaza along with the opening of AWG Representative Office on Omar Al-Mokhtar street, Gaza City. The aid was collected from the fund-raising campaign conducted by AWG representatives in various regions of Indonesia.

Indonesian people entrusted AWG to  distribute donation for the Palestinian people. Some regions that has given its aid through AWG are Jakarta, Kupang, Ambon, Bogor, Lampung, Jambi, West Borneo, East Borneo, West Java, Batam as well as of several university alumni associations, schools , mosque worshipers and several companies.

Towards the Liberation of Al-Aqsa

To expand the socialization of Al-Aqsa liberation, AWG has opened representative Office in Gaza. The office also used by educational institutions Shuffah Al Quran Abdullah bin Mas’ud (SQABM) Online, and Islamic News Agency (MINA).

Aqsa Working Group (AWG) is an humanitarian institution focuses on the efforts for the liberation of Al-Aqsa and Palestinian independence. It was formed as the result of Al-Aqsa International Conference in Jakarta, August 21, 2008.

Al-Aqsa International Conference was attended by the mass organizations leaders, a number of Muslim countries Embassy, educational institutions leaders who concentrate on the struggle of Al-Aqsa liberation.

Since 2010, AWG concerns distributing aid to Palestinians, especially in the event of Israeli military aggression. (L/R03/R03)
