Indonesia Joints 2019 World Economic Forum in Davos

Davos, MINA – Indonesian Paviliun Participated in enlivening the 2019 World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, 22-25 January.

Indonesian Industry Minister Airlangga Hartarto expressed his appreciation for the participation of Indonesia in this international event.

“I am very happy because Indonesia is able to organize the program at Davos. With Indonesian hospitality, we see audiences are able to experience like in Indonesia, “Airlangga said through his statement received in Jakarta on Friday, as reported by Antara News Agency.

According to Hartarto, the Indonesian Pavilion also opened the door to increase investment and to create “country branding”.

“The Indonesian Pavilion at the same time gave a statement to the community in Davos that Indonesia pays great attention and actively participated in the issue of globalization,” he said.

The Indonesian Pavilion on those days presented workshops, ministerial briefings, networking sessions, one on one meeting and tech showcase in the event that with the theme of Unity in Diversity 4.0.

Airlangga also believed that the Indonesian Pavilion can be a strategic means of economic diplomacy through the dissemination of information on the latest developments in Indonesia.

The existence of the Indonesian Pavilion was also intended to convince and provide positive sentiment to investors and activists of the world economy towards the economic of Indonesia.

The number of companies participated in the Indonesian Pavilion such as, Indofood, Tokopedia, Kalbe, Astra International, Angkasa Pura, Javara, WIR, Gajah Tunggal and Kapal Api.

The Indonesian Pavilion at Davos also presented cultural and culinary wealth of the archipelago and raises potential in the fields of digital economy, lifestyle, and industry 4.0. The tourism industry and other opportunities also being promoted. (T/Sj/P2)
