IDB GROUP TO SIGN SIX FINANCING AGREEMENTS IN CAIRO

   Cairo, 07 Rabiul Awwal 1434/19 January 2013 (MINA) – The President of Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB Group), Dr. Ahmad Mohamed Ali, is scheduled to visit Cairo, Egypt this week  during where he will be sign six financing agreements for development projects

   The projects are in the sectors of electric power generation; vocational training; agricultural development and food security; health and reduction of unemployment, according to a report published in www.cpifinancial.net monitored by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA), Saturday.

    During the visit, the IDB Group President will attend the opening ceremony of the new premises of the Al Azhar University’s Center for Teaching Arabic Language to Non-Arabic Speakers and meet several senior ranking Egyptian ministers and officials.

   The IDB has maintained close cooperation with Egypt since its inception in 1975. To date, the total financing approved by the IDB Group for Egypt stands at more than $8 billion for development projects mainly in the areas of education, power generation, agriculture and rural development.
