Hundreds of Hectares of Mangrove a Place of Crab Cultivation

Koba, Bangka Belitung, 16 Jumadil Awwal 1438/13 February 2017 (MINA) – Head of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports Department, Central Bangka, Bangka Belitung, Zaidi said mangrove in the West Kurau village does not only has tourism potential but also suitable as a cultivation of crab and shrimp.

“Mangrove which covering ​​213 hectares will be used as new tourist destination area. It is also suitable for cultivation of crabs and shrimp as a special attraction for tourists,” he said in Koba, Sunday. Antaranews reported.

He explained, the cultivation of crab and shrimp is not his domain, but the potential is very good to increase the appeal of attraction of mangrove as tourism destination.

He pointed out, the island is not only has beautiful sea panorama and a very good for diving and cultivation of hatchlings. Not to mention the manifold of bird species in the mangrove forests.

“Mangrove forests in the island are still beautiful, diverse species of birds still make the forest as a habitat and of these birds and other animals, so, it has  own charm,” he said.(P02/NMT)
