GERMAN TOUR OPERATOR, TUI CONTINUES TO SUSPEND TRIPS TO EGYPT
Berlin, 30 Syawal 1434/6 September 2013 (MINA) – German tourism investors have decided to extend their decision to suspend trips to Egypt as a result of the internal situation in the country which leaves tourists facing increasing risks.
The largest German tour operator, TUI, said that it would extend its decision to ban travel to Egypt until September 29, adding that “possible risks continue to threaten the safety of German tourists in tourist areas and resorts in Egypt.”
Since the January 25 revolution of 2011, the Egyptian tourism sector has deteriorated, but according to the Egyptian Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics, tourism rates increased in June 2013, the last month of the rule of legitimate president Mohamed Morsi, an increase of 16 per cent from the previous month, Middle East Monitor (MEMO) reported as monitored by (MINA) Mi’raj News Agency (6/9).
The indictment 1632, also accuses ElBaradei of embarrassing the government and the army in their fight against terrorists when he resigned his post as deputy prime minister after stating, via his Twitter account, that he would resign if the government dispersed, by force, the Brotherhood and pro-Morsi Rabaa al Adawiya sit-in.
The indictment added that an article published in al Masry al Youm newspaper on August 2, 2013, by Ghada Sherif “Why are you suppressing the revolution, Baradei?”, revealed the magnitude of ElBaradei’s complicity against the Egyptian revolution and the Egyptian people, vis-à-vis the Muslim Brotherhood.
The indictment calls on the presidency to take legal action against ElBaradei and to refer him to an inquiry before the legal authorities, as he spoke in the name of the Egyptian people in an official position, but had actually defied the Egyptian people’s demands by calling for a presidential pardon for Mohamed Morsi.
