Gaza, MINA – The social networking site Facebook on Wednesday, October 9, blocked Al-markaz Al-filitini lil i’lam page or the homepage of Palestinian Information Center (Palinfo).

Palinfo management said the action was part of an escalation to combat Palestinian content on the social networking site Facebook.

“Facebook, suddenly and without prior warning, deleted Facebook page of Palinfo, which has nearly 5 million followers, without any reason,” Palinfo Management said on Thursday, October 10.

Management has asked Facebook to review the blocking and stop fighting Palestinian content on international networks. However, blocking is still being done by Facebook

Facebook has also previously blocked many webmaster and editor accounts. The blocking was part of a broad campaign in recent weeks that included many Palestinian platforms on social networks.
