Thousands of Egyptians gathered at Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo as well as public squares in a number of governorates across Egypt, together with members and leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Aqsa Trustees movement, following the Friday prayers, to condemn the Zionist storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the latest Israeli raids on Syria.

El-Beltagy reaffirmed that: “The issue of al Quds (Jerusalem) and the cause of Palestine will remain at the heart the nation as a whole, all Arabs and all Muslims.

“Israel took advantage of our preoccupation with the Egyptian revolution, and escalated its irresponsible and apprehensible crimes against our Muslim brothers and sisters in Palestine and Syria. As Muslims, we will stay as one, generation after generation, and our goal will remain the liberation of Jerusalem.”

Beltagy added, “We must mobilize all resources to remember the real enemy and the seriousness of the situation, so we’ll be ready to confront the injustice and the monstrosity,” according to Freedom and Justice party (FJP)’s official website reports as monitored by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA).

From demonstrations in the provinces of Egypt, Samir Amer, an official of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee, repeated that the Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people and Al-Aqsa Mosque seeks to complete the Judaizing Jerusalem project, which began years ago, substituting Palestinians for Zionists by building new settlements on their occupied lands.
