AWG Appreciates Palestinian Culture Night in Jakarta

Jakarta, MINA – Chairman of Aqsa Working Group (AWG) Agus Sudarmaji welcomed and expressed his high appreciation to the Palestinian Embassy for the successful implementation of the Palestinian Culture Night at Graha Bakti Budaya, Taman Ismail Marzuki, Jakarta, Wednesday night.

Agus said, this Palestinian cultural night event was held to commemorate the Revolution 54 years ago, precisely January 1, 1965.

“With this event, the Indonesian people are reminded that the Palestinian people have not stopped fighting until now, and I also see the enthusiasm of the attendees at this event,” Agus told MINA.

According to him, events like this as a form of support for Palestinians, in order to continue to fight until independence.

“I convey my gratitude for the invitation and congratulations on doing it well,” he said.

In addition, Agus also hope that cultural activities like this can be carried out more frequently.

“We hope that cultural activities like this can be carried out more frequently, so that the Indonesian people will become more familiar with Palestinian culture, to get closer and love Palestine, and provide more tangible support for Palestinian independence,” he said.

The Palestinian Embassy for Indonesia, for the first time held a Palestinian cultural night event in commemoration of the 54th Anniversary of Palestinian Revolution Day.

The Palestinian cultural night program was filled with various events such as photographs, exhibitions of Palestinian traditional dance and Ratoeh Jaroe dance originating from Aceh, as well as typical Palestinian songs delivered by Palestinian singer Numan Al Jalmawi. (T/Sj/P2)
