ASIAN AFRICAN CONFERENCE DEVELOPES SOUTH-SOUTH COOPERATION

kaaJakarta, 1 Rajab 1436/19 April 2015 (MINA) – Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Retno Marsudi has opened the Exhibition of Indonesia’s South-South Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) on Sunday (19/4). The Minister of National Development Planning, the Minister of State Secretariat and the Vice Minister of Finance also delivered their remarks in regards to Indonesia South-South Cooperation.

For Asian and African countries, South-South Cooperation is a manifestation of solidarity among them that contributes to their national well-being their national and collective self-reliance and the attainment of internationally agreed development goals.

South-South Cooperation has been an inseparable part for the partnership between the Asian and African countries that countries that the 60th Commemoration of the Asia-Africa Conference considers “Advancing South-South Cooperation” as the main theme.

For Indonesia, South-South Cooperation is an important framework to build partnership with developing countries to respond to the global challenges which would in turn advance economic development for poverty among the countries.

The exhibition further present Indonesia’s programs on South-South and Triangular Cooperation from line Minister/agencies such as Sales of Frozen Cement from Singosari Artificial Insemination for Cattle Programme , Boiled Fish Processing & Crackers Slicers Machines from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, and promotions materials related to Indonesia’s contribution for Palestine by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Exhibition of Indonesia’s South-South and Triangular Cooperation is held during the 60th Commemoration of the Asia-Africa Conference (19-23 April 2015) and located at the Pre Function Hall A, Jakarta Convention Centre.(L/P008/R03)
