AL QARADAWI: FREE AL AQSA AND PALESTINE WITH THE MUSLIM WORLD UNITY

      Gaza City, 5 Rajab 1434 / 13 May 2013 (MINA) – The chairman of Muslim Scholars Association Yusuf al-Qaradawi  called on all Muslims through out the world to focus their struggle to free Al-Aqsa and Palestine from Israeli occupation.

      “Free Al-Aqsa and Palestine with the Muslim world unity. Do not quarrel each other.  It will make Muslims perish,” the 86-year-old philosopher and theologian said during a Friday sermon in Jami ‘al-‘ Umari al-Kabir (Jami ‘Umari) mosque,  Daraj District, Gaza, Friday (10 / 5).

     Mi’raj News Agency (MINA)’S reporter Muhammad Husain in the Gaza Strip, reported  Al-Qaradawi said Muslims face one enemy that is the Zionist Israel and the goal is also just one to free Palestine from the Zionists occuption.

      “The Muslims enemy is clear, that is Zionist Israel, then why among Muslims, they are still quarreling among each others and still devided?” He said, quoting Surah Al Imran verse 103, which obliges Muslims congregation and forbids the separation.

      Al-Qaradawi who viisited Gaza Strip in 1958, asserted  if Muslims are committed in the congregation, then Allah’s help is very close.

      “I am increasingly convinced that Muslims  struggle against the Israeli occupation will never die,” said the Egyptian cleric who is now lives in Qatar.

       “Therefore, all components of the Palestinian struggles must work together, be patient and continue to oppose Israel,” he said in front of  thousands people of the oldest mosque in the Gaza Strip.

       Prime Minister Ismail Haniya, some ministers, members of parliament, and 45 scholars from various Arab countries  as well as thousands of local Muslims attended the Friday prayer. Around 11 Indonesian volunteers who have been building Indonesian hospital in Gaza also attended the Friday congregation.

       Shaykh Yusuf al-Qaradawi came to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah-Egypt border, as a form of his concern and support for Al-Aqsa and Gazans struggle against Israeli occupation. (T/P04/E1)
