Adhi Wargono Leads Indonesia-Korea Friendship Association 2019-2024

Jakarta, MINA – Indonesian businessman and media activist, Adhi Wargono is elected as chairman of the Indonesia-Korea Friendship Association (IKFA) for the period 2019-2024.

Adhi Wargono was previously also known as the initiator and the IKFA declarator in 2005. At present, Adhi replaces the previous general chairman Amb. Nick. T Dammen who served in 2010-2015.

The formation of new board was a suggestion from the Korean Ambassador to Indonesia, Kim Chang Beom. IKFA is expected to be the glue of the relationship between Indonesia and South Korea that has been established since 45 years ago and can enhance cooperation between the two countries.

According to the plan, the new management will be declared on next March 14.

The composition of 2019-2025 IKFA consists of the Steering Board: Prof. Dr. Rokhmin Dahuri, Abd. Nick T. Dammen, Geunhyo An, Yi Sun Hyeong and Darmawan Djayusman.

Indonesia and South Korea have the vision, values, and desire to contribute to the international community. Both countries are members of the G-20 and APEC. Indonesia and South Korea formally established diplomatic relations on September 17, 1973. (R/Ast/P2)
