Cairo, MINA – The Palestinian-Egyptian summit held Monday between President Mahmoud Abbas and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi was important and supportive of the Palestinian position, according to Abbas’ spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh.

Both leaders agreed to continue consultation and coordination in the next stage, Abu Rudeineh told WAFA after the meeting that was held at the Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo.

“We will continue to consult with our Arab brothers, especially with Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the Arab parties, to confront future challenges, especially after the US step,” he added.

He stressed that the Egyptian position is supportive and important for the Palestinian cause and for President Abbas, the legitimate representative of the Palestinian people.
