IN INDONESIA, TURKISH PRESIDENT URGES TO STAND FOR PALESTINE
Jakarta, 15 Shawwal 1426/31 July 2015 (MINA) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a public lecture at the Indonesia National Resilience Institute today that Palestine issue need to be solved as it is a part of Islamic world obstacles.
“Palestinians for decades have been refused to take part in their homeland to have election,” he said in front of Defense officials and media at the auditorium of Gajah Mada, Jakarta, Friday.
According to him, Palestinians still face injustice, as they cannot get the right to have their own land from occupation until now.
He asserted that Turkey always stands for Palestinian people in achieving their independence.
In his speech, Erdogan also mentioned Syria issue which have great impact to the world, especially when it created bad images of Islam in the international community. Brotherhood with countries such as Somalia and the Rohingya refugees is also an issue that he is mentioned the event.
“All muslim have duty to protect their religion, to reject terrorism,” he stressed out.
In Turkey, he continued, they have been fighting against terrorism and wars have suffered losses.
“So we have to a very comprehensive look at the subject. And even today we displaying a very determined attitude to all kinds of terrorism,” he added.
Erdogan’s entourage arrived in Jakarta on Thursday night and plans to end his visit on Saturday (1/8) after a series of visits to various government agencies in Indonesia, including the main objective to finalize the economic cooperation with the Indonesian president which took place this afternoon.(L/R04/R03)
