Kuala Lumpur, MINA – Malaysia will take firm action against shipments passing through its territory that support the Israeli military, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said Thursday, Anadolu Agency reports.
Ibrahim posted on X a report stating that Malaysian authorities had seized a shipment bound for Israel.
“We will not allow our country to be used as a route for any shipments that support or contribute to Israel’s military capabilities and its atrocities against Palestinians and other innocent lives,” he said.
Ibrahim said any suspicious shipments would be inspected and investigated under Malaysian law, stressing that if violations are proven, firm action will be taken. On July 15, Ibrahim said individuals holding Israeli citizenship alongside other nationalities who are found living or present in Malaysia would be deported.

Malaysia has long been a vocal supporter of Palestinian rights and does not have diplomatic relations with Israel. The country has consistently opposed normalization with Israel and has supported the Palestinian cause through diplomatic, humanitarian, and civil society channels.
In recent years, Malaysia has taken steps to prevent its territory from being used to facilitate Israeli military operations, including seizing shipments and deporting individuals with Israeli citizenship.
The move reflects Malaysia’s commitment to upholding international law and its principled stance against Israeli occupation and violations of Palestinian rights.[]
