Hebron, MINA – Israeli occupation forces demolished a Palestinian home in the eastern area of Hebron on Tuesday, leaving two families, including children and elderly residents, without shelter.

According to Wafa, the two-story house, owned by Saud Al-Atrash, was located in the village of Qilqis and measured 460 square meters.

Local sources said the demolition was carried out with heavy military machinery, and that Israeli forces fired tear gas at residents who gathered at the scene, causing several people to suffer from suffocation.

In a separate incident, the Israeli military issued stop-work orders for three homes in the village of Al-Walaja, northwest of Bethlehem. The orders targeted properties owned by Ibrahim Ali Al-Araj, Ahmad Mohammad Al-Araj, and Maher Nasrallah Al-Amour.

According to Palestinian security sources, the orders were issued on the grounds that the homes lacked building permits from Israeli authorities—a requirement that Palestinians say is nearly impossible to meet due to discriminatory policies. The latest demolitions and stop-work orders are part of a broader pattern of Israeli measures aimed at restricting Palestinian construction and expanding Israeli control across the occupied West Bank.[]
