Tel Aviv, MINA – A fire broke out after an Iranian missile hit a factory in an industrial area in Negev, southern Israel, according to Israel’s Channel 12, as cited by Anadolu Agency.

The Israeli army said that air defense systems were activated to intercept missiles identified as having been launched from Iran.

According to Channel 12, sirens were sounded in the cities of Beersheba and Arad, as well as in the Negev, due to Iran’s first missile attack targeting southern Israel. Images shared on social media showed a fire in the factory in the industrial area, with smoke rising from the area.

During Iran’s second strike targeting central Israel, sirens sounded across a wide area, including the Gush Dan, known as “Greater Tel Aviv.”
