Presidency Calls for Immediate Intervention to Stop Escalation in Gaza
Ramallah, MINA – The presidency called upon the international community on Friday to immediately intervene to stop Israel’s escalation in the Gaza Strip, WAFA reported.
In a statement, the presidency said President Mahmoud Abbas has approached a number of regional and international parties in an effort to contain the current escalation.
At least three Palestinians were killed today in a series of Israeli airstrikes and artillery bombings across the Gaza Strip.’
Nickolay Mladenov, the UN envoy for the Middle East peace process, also called for an immediate end to the escalation in the Gaza Strip. (T/RS5/RS1)
