2018 Asian Games: No Centralised Training Camp

Kuala Lumpur, MINA — No centralised training camps will be held for the Malaysian contingent in preparation for the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia, this August, Bernama reported.

The country’s contingent head to the 2018 Asian Games, Datuk Seri Abdul Azim Mohd Zabidi said the decision was made as many athletes were currently undergoing training abroad.

“There are no centralised camps this time as many athletes are undergoing training abroad and most of them will head directly to Indonesia later.”

“However, a hand-over ceremony (of the Jalur Gemilang) with the national contingent and motivational courses for athletes will take place, before they leave for Jakarta-Palembang,” he told reporters after meeting with several sports associations at Wisma OCM, today.
