ULEMA: THE DEVELOPMENT OF ISLAMIC DA’WA NEEDED IN PHILIPPINES

Jakarta, 8 Sy’aban 1436/26 May 2015 (Mina) – The Philippines Ulema Watteau Ibrahim said Philippines Muslim need to improve its Islamic da’wa in order to form great preachers in the country.

Acording to him, it is because the Muslim minority in Philippines needs deeper understanding about Islam.

He also said some mainstream media set bad images on Muslim and put stereotype of it.

The people want to know the truth about Islam so this is the reason why we are working hard to be better in spreading Islamic messages, He said.

He added, the da’wa is not an easy profession and the Prophet and  Messengers of Allah  has told us to be patient, kind and well-versed about its teachings, and  by sincerity.

The  message spreader known as Da’i in arabic,  required to have so many tight condition to be it and most important thing accordance  to the holy Qur’an and Hadith.

“If  the personality in line with the Qur’an so it is not difficult for non Muslim to understand better about this religion,” he explained.

Ibrahim giving examples, after the arrival of Mufti Ismail Menk from Zimbwabe in Philippines recently many people embraced Islam after his lectures.

The solutions for  calling people to Allah is in the Holy Quran and the Sunnah,  so we  (Dai) will imitate how the Prophets and Rasulullah (Peace be upon him)  answer the people and how they live in the critical moments of their da’wa. (L/Imt/R04)
