UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Indonesian Counterpart

UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Nahyan identified Indonesia as one of the key countries in the Asian region.

 

Abu Dhani, 18 Rabiul Akhir 1438/17 Januay 2017 (MINA) – Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received on Tuesday Indonesia’s Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and discussed ways of boosting bilateral co-operation in various fields.

According to WAM, during the meeting, held on the sidelines of the 15th Ministerial Meeting of Asia Co-operation Dialogue in Abu Dhabi, the UAE Minister stressed the importance of bolstering cooperation with Indonesia while Marsudi expressed her country’s interest in further developing bilateral ties.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed welcomed the Indonesian Foreign Minister and her accompanying delegation, hailing the evolution of the relationship between the UAE and the Republic of Indonesia in all fields.

The Indonesian Foreign Minister expressed her thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Abdullah for his warm reception and hospitality, commending the prestigious stature occupied by the UAE at the regional and global levels and the achievements accomplished by the country in all areas.

According to the data from the Government of UAE, currently almost 90,000 Indonesians reside in UAE. Little over 50% in Dubai and Northern Emirates while the rest in Abu Dhabi.
