Two Palestinian Journalists Win Prestigious Awards in US

Colombia, MINA – Two Palestinian photo journalists in the Gaza Strip won awards at the 76th Pictures of the Year International (POYI) School of Missouri Journalism in Colombia, Missouri, United States, one of the most famous prestigious journalism schools in the world.

Mohammad Salem Jadallah, who worked for the Reuters news agency, told WAFA on Thursday, his photo about four brothers crying over the departure of their dead brother at Shifa Hospital, Gaza won an Award of Excellence for the Picture Story category.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Asad, a freelance photo journalist, also won an Award of Excellence for his photo Faris Sirsawi (12) when he held on to a paramedic stretcher who tried to evacuate him after he was shot in the chest while jointed the Great Return of March action on the Gaza border.
