TRANS TV EXPLORES NEWS COOPERATION WITH MI’RAJ NEWS AGENCY

        Jakarta, 7 Dzulqa’idah 1434/13 September 2013 (MINA) – Indonesian television station Trans TV invited the International Islamic News Agency-Mi’raj News Agency (MINA) to explore cooperation in the fields of news, especially the Middle East.
        Trans TV considers MINA as Islamic media that gives significant contribution to additional news reporting concerning events surrounding the Middle East, especially Palestine, Egypt, Syria, Yemen and so on. Hence, Trans TV plans to build cooperation with MINA in the news reporting on the Middle East issues .
       “We’re going to try to synergize the potential of this news reporting,” said Shanta Curanggana Deputy Chief Editor of Trans TV while welcoming representatives MINA consisting of Syarif Hidayat ( Deputy Chief Editor ) , Ali Thani Farkhan (Editorial Secretary), Rina Asrina ( Sub-Editor ), Arif ‘ Asyari ( photographer ) and Ahmad Habibullaah (IT), in Jakarta , Thursday (12/9) .
       MINA representatives during the meeting, which took place at the Jakarta head office of Trans TV was greeted warmly by Shanta Curanggana as Deputy Chief Editor of Trans TV is accompanied by M. Agus Riyadi, Executive Producer, News Division.
       According to Curanggana, he has been monitoring the news in the MINA website for months and he said that he feels satisfied with MINA that is  providing a balanced information concerning events in the Middle East.
        “We wanted to give additional news reporting value that will further enriches the Trans TV-live news broadcast on Palestine and the Middle East issues, with MINA reporter that could  report directly from the conflict zones,” said Shanta.
        He hoped that with this cooperation there will be expansion of news material for Trans TV in broadcasting information about the Middle East that are accurate and balanced .
       Trans TV Deputy Chief Editor’s statement was welcomed by delegates who also represented MINA Deputy Chief Editor, Syarif Hidayat, who said that MINA really appreciate the offer of cooperation from Trans TV.
       “We warmly welcome all these offers and we highly appreciate these Trans TV gestures for cooperation and synergy, ” said Syarif Hidayat who went on to introduce the delegates present from MINA . Furthermore , Syarif explained that MINA news reporting highly focus on issues related to the Islamic world and the Middle East .
        “Our main attention in our news reporting is supporting the Palestinian cause, and support the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and defending the interests of Islam as a whole,” said Syarif .
        The meeting continued with introductions of each media and discussions about the conflict that is heating up in the Middle East.
       “We can produce accurate and balanced reports on the Middle East conflict, which has now become a platform to provoke Muslims by the Zionists and imperialists,” said Ali Farkhan Thani, while providing additional information about MINA correspondents outside.
       At the end of the meeting, the two sides agreed to hold  a further meeting to discuss the details of what will be agreed for future cooperation.
