ZIONIST SOLDIERS ASSAULT A PALESTINIAN WOMAN NEAR NABLUS

         Nablus, 9 Muharram 1435/13 November 2013 (MINA) – Israeli occupation soldiers were caught on tape violently attacked a Palestinian woman at the Za’tara roadblock, near the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

         Speaking on condition of anonymity, the resident who documented the attack said that, as he was trying to cross the roadblock, he noticed Israeli soldiers shouting at the young woman, cursing at her, and threw her onto the ground.

         After violently attacking her, the occupation soldiers cuffed her and placed her in a police vehicle that initially took her to an unknown destination. She has been identified as We’am Samid Aseeda, 22, from Tal village, south of Nablus, International Middle East Media Center (IMEMC) quoted by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

         Her father said that he only knew about her arrest after receiving a phone call from a Palestinian lawyer who informed him his daughter was moved to the HaSharon Prison.

          The Israeli army alleges that Aseeda attempted to stab an Israeli soldier on the roadblock.

           The army initially moved her to the Ariel police station in Ariel settlement bloc, in the northern part of the West Bank.

A Palestinian man was seriously injured by Israeli extremists

           A Palestinian man identified as Kamel Basseela, 48 years of age, was seriously injured after two Israeli extremists dropped a stone on him as he was heading to work in occupied Jerusalem. The wounded man was moved to surgery suffering fractures in his spine, and a ruptured artery.

           The extremists attacked Basseela on Wednesday as he was walking near the Al-Magharba Gate, while heading to work in West Jerusalem.

           They dropped a big stone on him from a high altitude hitting him in the back, causing fractures to his spine and chest, while one of his arteries also ruptured due to the attack.

            He passed out instantly and was moved to Shaare Zedek Medical Center, in West Jerusalem, suffered very serious injuries.

           Daoud Baseela, one of his relatives who also witnessed the attack, said that Baseela will also be going through a heart surgery due to his injuries.

           He called the police who managed to apprehend one of the assailants while a second extremist fled the scene.

           Kamel Baseela is a married father of four children; he is from the Al-‘Eesawiyya town, in occupied East Jerusalem. (T/P014/E1)
