Ramallah Hospital Treats Youth Injured During Israeli Invasion Of Al-Amari

Ramallah’s, 7 Jumadal Awwal 1437/16 February 2016 (MINA) –Many Palestinians have this morning been injured as Israeli occupation forces invaded Ramallah’s al-Amari refugee camp, surrounding a house in the camp.

It is being reported that the Israeli forces were attempting to arrest a camp resident, Ayman Abu Arab, from his house although he was not at home when the invasion took place.

As the camp’s youth attempted to repel the incursion Israeli forces responded with tear gas and live fire, injuring many youth. Clashes continued for some time as a large military force dispersed inside the camp. Middle East Monitor (MEMO) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Since the invasion began Ramallah Central hospital has been receiving the injured. Doctors have been working frantically due to the large number of wounded. Many of those who are being treated have suffered bullet wounds in the legs.

More than 20 injured have so far been treated at the hospital. One case is reported to be critical involving a bullet wound to the head.

Al-Amari is one of three refugee camps in the central West Bank city of Ramallah. All of the city’s camps suffer regular invasions by the occupation forces. (T/P002/R07)
