PALESTINIAN RESISTANCE BLASTS DEVICE IN ISRAELI ARMY JEEP

 Khan Younis, 25 Rabi’ul Awwal 1435/27 January 2014 (MINA) – Palestinian resistance fighters blasted an explosive device in an Israeli occupation army jeep to the east of Khan Younis, south of Gaza Strip, on Monday morning.

Local sources told the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reporter that the device was ignited when the military jeep was passing 50 meters away from the border fence.

They said that Israeli occupation forces (IOF) rushed to the scene after the explosion and opened indiscriminate fire at Qarara town, PIC quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

IOF attacks on the Gaza Strip since the start of this year killed six Palestinians and wounded 26 others.

A Palestinian farmer was seriously wounded in Israeli occupation forces’ shooting to the east of Deir Al-Balah in central Gaza Strip on Monday morning.

Soldiers stationed at a military tower in Wadi al-Salqa shot the Palestinian reported to be in his mid 30s following an explosion in the area when a military jeep passed by.

The PIC reporter said that the young man was hit with two bullets in his chest and hand in Abul Ajeen area, east of Deir Al-Balah.

He added that the youth was transferred to Shifa hospital in Gaza city in view of the seriousness of his condition.

The incident came only two hours after Palestinian resistance blasted an Israeli army jeep east of southern Gaza with no casualties reported. (T/P02/E01)
