OIC Chief Holds Consultation with UN Humanitarian Coordinator for Palestine

Jeddah, 17 Jumadil Akhir 1438/16 March 2017 (MINA) – Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Yousef Al-Othaimeen received at his office in Jeddah Robert Piper, deputy special coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process and the humanitarian coordinator for the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, they discussed the developments in the Palestinian territory, particularly the situation in the cities of Jerusalem and Hebron as well as the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, IINA News reported.

The secretary general praised the important role played by the UN and its specialized agencies throughout the Palestinian territory, including occupied Jerusalem.

He also underlined the OIC’s readiness to cooperate with all actors in order to mobilize more support for the Palestinian people.(T/R04/RS5)
