Jakarta, MINA – Palestinian Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia, Abdulfattah AK Al-Sattari reminded that there are no holidays when it comes to thinking about efforts to liberate the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

He made this statement during the Silaturahmi and Taklim Umara event for the Greater Jakarta and NTB regions at the At-Taqwa Mosque in East Jakarta on Sunday.

“Ladies and gentlemen, today is a holiday, but you chose to be here because there is no holiday for thinking about Al-Aqsa Mosque. I believe we come here, we sit in this gathering, for Al-Aqsa,” said Abdulfattah.

During the event themed “Remaining Steadfast in Maintaining the Spirit of Fastabiqul Khairat After Ramadan,” the Palestinian Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the support of the Indonesian people for Palestinian independence.

Abdulfattah mentioned that the support from the Indonesian people has become a source of strength for Palestine, including through protest actions.

“We are able to remain patient and fight against the Zionist Israelis because of all your support, and hopefully Palestine can achieve independence thanks to Indonesia’s support,” he said during his speech.

“Demonstrations and orations are also beneficial for Palestine because they help spread information about Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestine. All these protest actions and orations strengthen us,” Abdulfattah added.

Due to the consistent support of the Indonesian people, the Palestinian Ambassador even admitted that he loves Indonesia as much as he loves his own homeland.

“The Palestinian nation is not alone because there are Indonesian people – men, women, children – all ready to stand together with Palestine. I love Indonesia as I love my own country,” he said.

Furthermore, Abdulfattah stated that the Quran has explained the issue of Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque, as mentioned in Surah Al-Isra.

“Whoever wants to know what is happening in Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque, then read the Quran. Whoever wants to know how to liberate Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque, then read the Quran. This is stated in Surah Al-Isra,” he revealed.

Abdulfattah emphasized that the situation in Palestine is a colonial occupation.

According to him, Palestine loves peace, but if they are attacked, they will resist for the sake of their homeland and Al-Aqsa Mosque.

“We do not like war, but if we are fought against, then we will do our best to defend Palestine and Al-Aqsa Mosque and seek help from Allah SWT,” he said.

On that occasion, Abdulfattah also shared that his family and friends are still in Palestine, while others have been martyred in the Zionist Israeli attacks.

Before concluding his speech, the Palestinian Ambassador presented gifts in the form of shawls inscribed with the names of Palestinian cities, including those still occupied by Zionist Israel. The gifts were handed to three children who attended the gathering.
