Minister of Islamic Affairs Launches Media Programs' Plan for Hajj 2017

Jeddah MINA – The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh has launched the Ministry’s plan for the media programs to educate the pilgrims for this year’s Hajj season 1438 H corresponding to 2017.

The plan included the distribution of millions of publications, books, tapes, films and Dawah mass media in 32 international languages, SPA reported.

He pointed out that 100 satellite channels participate in educating pilgrims through the dissemination of episodes, films and programs produced by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs.

Minister Al-Sheikh also explained that the plan reflects the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to serve pilgrims, pointing out that the Ministry focuses this season on the concept of early awareness before the arrival of the pilgrim to the Kingdom through traditional and modern media in different languages, and through the Ministry’s Dawah centers outside the Kingdom, in various countries of the world and Islamic societies.

The annual Hajj pilgrimage is set to begin later this month in the Saudi cities of Mecca and Medina, where more than two million Muslim pilgrims are expected to take part in the ritual this year. (T/RS5/RS1)
