Paris, MINA – A mass rally was staged by Sheikh Yassin Group in France on Saturday to condemn the Israeli crackdowns and measures at al-Aqsa Mosque—the third holiest site in Islam.

Hundreds of protesters flocked to Saint Michel Square in Paris in solidarity with the Muslim sit-inners and worshipers at al-Aqsa Mosque, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.
The event, held under the slogan “Al-Aqsa . . . Red Line and Point of No Return for Nearly 2 Billion Muslims”, warned of the repercussions of the Israeli oppressive measures and scaffolding set up around al-Aqsa.

Mock-metal detectors were put on display during the rally.

Head of Sheikh Yassin Group, Abdul Hakim al-Safreiwi, slammed the silence maintained by several western states, including France, as regards the Israeli crimes against the Palestinians.
