Jakarta, 133 Rajab 1437/20 April 2016 (MINA) – Seven villagers were struck dead and four others injured by lightening in Indonesia’s South Sumatra, senior official of local disaster agency said on Tuesday.

The disaster occurred when the 11 people were taking shelter in the hut at the middle of paddy rice field during rains at Talang Jernih village of Muara Enim district, Sastro Alimanudin, head of emergency and fire department of local disaster management agency said.

All the victims have been evacuated and those who suffered from serious injury have been treated in a hospital, said Alimnudin.

Meanwhile, Muara Enim District Police Chief Adjunct Commissioner Nuryanto said the victims is one family.
