West Bank, MINA – A wave of Jewish settler attacks hit the occupied West Bank overnight, culminating in a dawn arson attack on a mosque and homes in the Masafer Yatta village of al-Tuwani near al-Khalil, the Palestine Information Center reports.
Video footage captured the moment settlers set the mosque aflame during their attack on al-Tuwani village at dawn Sunday.
Mohamed Rabee, head of the village council, told WAFA Agency that settlers from the illegal “Havat Ma’on” outpost stormed the village and set fire to two homes belonging to local residents, in addition to the al-Tuwani Mosque.
Rabee said the attackers used highly flammable materials, causing fires to spread across large parts of the structures, while Israeli forces were in the area protecting the settlers.
