ISTANBUL VOTED AS EUROPE'S TOP TRAVEL DESTINATION

Istanbul, 30 Jumadil Akhir 1436/19 April 2015 (MINA) – Trip Advisor’s Travellers choice awards have selected Istanbul as the top place to visit in Europe.

Istanbul’s outstanding historical sites, with its blend of mosques and the cosmopolitan lifestyle has made it another winner for many travellers. Tripadvisor also published photos of buildings as well as providing detailed information regarding the city, World Bulletin quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

No visit to Turkey would be complete without a trip to the Blue Mosque, a site that can be seen from many points of the city as well as the Grand Bazaar. The Egyptian Spice Market in the heart of Istanbul’s Eminonu district houses shops of spices and nuts.

Istanbul as a city provides shoppers with hundreds of markets and shopping, and with its rich culture and history also allows visitors to step back in time and observe the change of the city.

Along with a review of the beautiful city, Trip Advisor also published photos of the city including the Topkapi Palace, the Sultan Ahmet/Blue Mosque district, and the Hagia Sophia Museum. (T/P011/R03)
