ISRAELI POLICE BAR ENTRY OF PALESTINIAN WOMEN TO AQSA MOSQUE, ALLOW IN SETTLERS
Occupied Jerusalem, 6 Dzulqa’dah 1435/1 September 2014 (MINA) – The Aqsa foundation for endowment and heritage said that the Israeli occupation police prevented on Sunday morning Palestinian women from entering the Aqsa Mosque and only allowed in Jewish settlers and intelligence officers.
In a press release, the Aqsa foundation said that the Israeli police forces deployed at the gates of the Aqsa Mosque had prevented since seven o’clock in the morning Palestinian women from entering the Aqsa Mosque, prompting the women to pray outdoors.
The Israeli police at Al-Hitta gate of the Mosque also barred the entry of female students of the Aqsa Mosque’s Islamic school, but they managed to get in through another gate, Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
As for the men, the police confiscated their ID cards before allowing them in.
Meanwhile, the police allowed 15 Jewish settlers and 20 intelligence officers to desecrate the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards in the morning under their protection.
The Aqsa foundation, in this regard, warned the Israeli occupation authority of its persistence in its hostile activities against the Islamic holy place and said it would continue its efforts to protect it against all Judaization plans.(T/R05/P3)
