Israeli Authorities Extend Detention of Governor of Jerusalem until Thursday

 

 

Jerusalem, MINA — Israeli authorities Sunday decided to extended the detention of governor of Jerusalem, Adnan Ghaith, who was detained today before dawn at his home in the East Jerusalem town of Silwan, WAFA reported, citing lawyers.

Israeli authorities extended the detention of Ghaith until Thursday under the pretext of continuing investigation and without giving any reason for the arrest.

Lawyer Rami Othman said an appeal against the Israeli authorities’ decision to extend Ghaith’s detention will be submitted at the Jerusalem District Court on Monday morning. T/RS5/RS1)
