Israel to Start Deplomatic Relation With Chad

Jerusalem, MINA – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will fly to Chad soon in order to announce a resumption of full diplomatic relations with the country led by President Idriss Deby.

The Prime Minister’s office said on Tuesday, Netanyahu would make a dramatic announcement along with Chadian President who is currently in Israel for an unprecedented visit.

For almost half a century Israel and Chad have dropped diplomatic relations.

However, it is not immediately clear when Netanyahu would visit to Chad, a Muslim-majority country in Central Africa.

His spokesman told the Times of Israel that the visit would take place in coming weeks.

After two meetings on Sunday, Netanyahu entertained Déby again on Tuesday morning in his office in Jerusalem. (T/Sj/RS5)
