ISLAMIC EDUCATION CURRICULUM CONTINUES TO DEVELOPE IN SOUTHERN PHILIPPINES

Jakarta, 20 Rajab 1436/ 9 May 2015 (MINA) – Islamic education in Philippines, continue to developed among others  is still in the process of getting the affiliation to the world Islamic curriculum, the Philippines’ Ulema, Watteau Ibrahim from Palimbang Sultan Kudarat, Southern Philippines said.

“The Islamic education is copied from Middle east arabic schools curriculum, that is  believed to be in line with the holy Quran and Sunnah for the guidance to the future Muslims generations,”  Ustadz Wattuea Ibrahim told Mi’raj Islamic News Agency ( MINA) recently.

According to him, the Philippines government supports only on the arabic language education in th country. “There is the  actual teachers employed under the department of education,” He said.

He added the development of  Islamic education in the Muslim Moro country through what Muslim says as madrasah (schools) will let them understand that Islam is a way of life.

He also said, according to the history of  Philippines as the root from the Malayan world, it will also helping the development of  Islamic education in Southern Philippines because most of all biggest Muslims in ASEAN countries are of the same Malay race.

He continues on saying the Philippines people has their national hero whose name is dr. Jose rizal , “And we are  recognized him  here as a great  malayan hero,” he stressed.

José Rizal was born on June 19, 1861, in Calamba, in the Philippines’ Laguna Province,While living in Europe, Rizal wrote about the discrimination that accompanied Spain’s colonial rule of his country. He returned to the Philippines in 1892, but was exiled due to his desire for reform.
