ISIS MOVEMENT TENDS TO DIVIDE MUSLIMS

Jakarta, 15 Shawwal 1435/11 August 2014 (MINA) – ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Sham) Movement  potentially tends to divide Muslims, said priest of KH Umar Rashid from Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) in peaceful protest for Palestinian Solidarity and Rejecting ISIS, in front of the United States Embassy in Jakarta, Sunday.

According to him, ISIS movement with Caliphate Islamiyyah was not in accordance with Islamic Caliphate that follows path of Prophet Muhammad PBUH. It was because they used violence against fellow Muslims.

“It seems signs of end times where Muslims become target of their violence,” he said.

Patterns of dividing Muslims was International Zionist’s patterns. It was in order that Muslims can not unite, he added.

In the same event, Ustadz Wahyudi KS, lecturer of Islamic High School/Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam (STAI) of al-Fatah Bogor, stated that to strengthen the unity of Muslims, we needed to purify tawheed to Allah.

Islam would be victorious if they purified tawheed, enforced unity of Muslims and committed enforcing Islamic law by referring to Al-Quran and Hadiths, he added.

“I call on Islamic people regardless of nations, languages, cultures and skin colors to unite, especially in liberation of Palestine and Al-Aqsa mosque from Zionist Israeli occupation regime,” he added.

Participants who attended the event came from Bekasi, Bogor, Banten and Lampung. They took part in the long-march from front of National Monument/ Monumen Nasional (Monas) to the United States Embassy at Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta.

They come from various elements, such as Madrasah, council of mosques prosperity, Islamic schools, teachers and staff, the youths, parents, children, women and elderly.

Some banners and posters read, “Open Blockade in Gaza”, “Open Rafah O Egypt”, “Stop Murder”, ” Khilafah (Islamic Caliphate) is not Terrorist,” and so on. (L/P010/Syt/E01).
