ISESCO Denounces Deadly Attacks on Wedding Party in Iraq

ISIS claims responsibility for deadly wedding blast in Iraq.

Rabat, 10 Jumadil Akhir 1438/09 March 2017 (MINA) – The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) strongly condemned the twin suicide bombings that hit at a wedding party in Tikrit city, central Iraq, on Wednesday.

The attacks targeting innocent civilians are despicable acts of terrorism and crimes against humanity, KUNA quoted the organization as saying in a statement tonight.

The statement called on the Iraqi people to unite against terrorism and prevent foreign interventions in their country.

The double bombing claimed at least 21 lives and injured 24 others.

The attack came as Iraqi forces battled Islamic State militants in their stronghold of Mosul on Wednesday.
