Tel Aviv, MINA – Loud explosions were heard after an Iranian cluster missile was spotted in the skies over Jerusalem on Saturday evening, according to Anadolu Agency.
Sirens sounded across central and southern Israel, with loud explosions also reported in Tel Aviv.
The Israeli Yedioth Ahronoth daily reported that a “very limited barrage” launched from Iran was “fully intercepted” by Israeli air defense systems, adding that the launches included a fragmentation missile.
Warning sirens were activated across multiple areas, including central Israel, Gush Dan, Sharon, Lachish, Beka’a, Samaria, and Jerusalem, according to the daily. A rocket and missile alert was also triggered in Moshav Avivim in the Upper Galilee.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced it had launched a new wave of missiles against Israel, Iranian media reported.
A man was injured by shrapnel in Kfar Yuval in the Galilee Panhandle in northern Israel, according to a preliminary report from Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency medical service.
The missile launches are part of ongoing Iranian strikes that began Feb. 28, targeting Israel and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. Tehran states the attacks are retaliation for a US-Israeli military campaign against Iran that has killed hundreds, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and senior military officials.
Some strikes have caused casualties and damage to civilian sites, including ports and residential buildings.[]
