INTL HUMANITARIAN IHH CALLS FOR EGYPTIAN CRISIS RECOVERY

       Cairo, 22 Ramadan 1434 / 30 July 2013 (MINA) – International humanitarian Humanities Insani Yadim Vakfi (IHH), headquartered in Turkey in its study called for the end of the Egyptian crisis that hit the country.

       The study conducted a few days after the president-elect Mohammed Mursi toppled from leadership. The team consists a delegation of IHH Lawyer, Gulden Sonmez from IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH Chairman of the Commission on Human Rights and the Law), Hakan Albayrak (Writer and a member of the Board of Trustees IHH), Izzet Sahin (Executive Board Member of IHH International Communications and Humanitarian Diplomacy), Umit Sonmez (IHH Communications Coordinator) and Journalist Nevzat Cicek visited Egypt and conducted observations and interviews.

        Here are the conclusions and recommendations of the IHH and the results of research and interview were released on their official website quoted by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA).

CONCLUSIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS

• After the military coup, the Egyptian people experiencing serious economic difficulties in the medium and long term. They will fall in the middle of a profound humanitarian crisis, and it must be resolved.

• The values that democratic elections should be cared for and maintained to ensure maximum peace and freedom around the world, especially in Egypt.

• The military is not allowed to use firearms against civilians. They must be prevented from attacking civilians.

• Who was behind the action taken against the society as a whole must be identified. Who is behind this attack must be brought to justice.

• The Gulf states have lost reputation and trust in the eyes of the international Muslim community.

• The success of a military coup in Egypt would be the advantage of the imperialist powers. This does not apply to the people of Egypt alone, but also the Arab world.

• It should be noted that a military coup would imply a lack of support from the Muslim community. If the Egyptian people themselves can not give testament to self-government, the external intervention will appear. This will mean more injustice, oppression, cruelty, and tears for all the people. All human rights organizations must fulfill their responsibilities to prevent such an outcome.

• Egypt’s military intervention should be assessed as a military coup. It’s against the law and should be completed as soon as possible.

• Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Sisi must be told that he and his troops must respect the aspirations and demands of the international community for democracy and freedom. He had to do reverse rule as before.

• Expectations of the Muslims of the Egyptian army made up of people of faith is to ensure fairness. Egyptian army must demonstrate sepada world with a defender of the people.

• Anyone who remain silent against the military coup and would like to take advantage of government established by the coup, it means against the will of the people.

• Personal interests and issues the government should not be used against the will of the people. (T/P04/E1)
