Ramallah, 22 Rajab 1436/11 May 2015 (MINA) – The Intifada Youth Coalition in Palestine on Sunday called for a mass rally, set to kick off on Friday, to mark the 67th anniversary of al-Nakba.

The Intifada Youth Coalition stressed in a press statement Palestinians’ non-negotiable commitment to their right of return to their homeland, from which they have long been dislocated, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

“The right of return is an inalienable and sacred right for the individual just as it is for the community. Nobody has the right to give it up or to turn it into a bargaining chip, no matter the circumstances,” the statement read.

It further pointed out the vital role played by the Palestinian youth in the national liberation struggle against the Israeli occupation and in initiatives to restore the diaspora’s right of return.

The group spoke out against the apathy maintained by the international community and stakeholders vis-à-vis the tragedy of a people “buried in a land and born under a sky that are not theirs.”

The youth coalition urged Palestinians, from all spectra and factions, to partake in the mass-rallies set to be launched from all flashpoints on Friday, May 15 after noon prayers.(T/P008/R04)
