Indonesian NGO Called on Muslim to Defend Aqsa Sites

Jakarta, 21 Sha’ban 1438/ 18 May 2017 (MINA) – Leader of Indonesian humanitarian agency Aqsa Working Group (AWG) Agus Sudarmadji has called on all Muslims around the world to liberate Al-Aqsa sites from Israeli occupation.

“Alhamdulillah, this morning we can carry out one of our duties to defend Al Aqsa Mosque, also to fight for the Palestinian issue,” he said during the Solidarity Action with Palestinian prisoners in front of the Palestinian Embassy in Jakarta on Thursday (18/5).

Speaking in front of hundreds participants, Agus asserted that the situation in Palestine, especially the repressive measures perpetrated by the Israeli army, has violated human rights.

“We are certainly concerned about the conditions in Palestine, where they are arrested and detained for no clear reason, without any trial, it is a clear violation of human rights,” he said.

Agus continued that according to the Indonesia constitution, it is clear affirmed that all forms of colonialism on earth must be abolished, because it is not in accordance with humanity.

“It is clear that all forms of colonization are very contrary to the constitution of the state of Indonesia,” said Agus.

Solidarity Action for Palestinian Prisoners initiated by the AWG was followed by about 500 people from various regions of Indonesia.(L/RE1/RS5)
