HAMAS, ISLAMIC JIHAD DELEGATION DEPART TO CAIRO

Gaza, 27 Dzulqadah 1435/22 September 2014 (MINA) – The Palestinian delegation from Hamas resistance movement and Islamic Jihad leaved for Cairo through Rafah border to resume indirect talks between Palestine and Israel.

Hamas delegation consisted of political bureau members. They are Mahmoud Al Zahar, Khalil Al-Hayya, and Mousa Abu Marzouk along with the delegation of the Islamic Jihad, Khalid Al Batsh and Nafez Azzam.

Hamas spokesman, Sami Abu Zuhri said that the talk would discuss the previous agreements. They would resume the talk after Eid al-Adha and Jewish holidays early next month.

Meanwhile, Egypt’s Foreign Ministry in a press release on Monday afternoon said, Palestine and Israel would begin new round of indirect talk to reach understanding and agreement in the following day. They would discuss permanent ceasefire and issues between the two sides.

The Ministry also added that the talks is a new episode in continuing efforts of ceasefire to ensure that there was no new confrontation to prevent casualties and destruction of public facilities.

Palestine and Israel agreed the ceasefire on August 26 with Egyptian mediation. Israeli aggression in Gaza Strip has caused 2157 people died; more than 11 thousands injured, tens of thousands of civilians residence destroyed, and some mosques and other public facilities also destroyed during 51 days attack.
