Hamas and Fatah Officials Call For Practical Reconciliatory Steps

Gaza, 21 Rabi’ul Akhir 1437/1 February 2016 (MINA) – Senior officials from the Hamas and Fatah Movements have called for intensifying the efforts to practically execute the signed reconciliation agreements.

Hamas official Ismail Radwan stated that the meetings which Hamas held with Fatah and other Palestinian factions are aimed to have the reconciliation agreements implemented on the ground, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA).

“We do not need new talks and agreements, but we need precise and honest commitment to the reconciliation,” Radwan underlined.

For his part, Fatah official Mohamed Al-Nahhal called for necessarily making more efforts to end the Palestinian division and form a unity government.

Nahhal said that Israel is the sole beneficiary of the Palestinian division, asserting that there is a real will to achieve the reconciliation, form a unity government and hold elections.(T/P008/R03)
