Gaza, MINA – The human toll of Israel’s ongoing military assault on the Gaza Strip has reached a staggering 72,292 fatalities, with an additional 172,073 people wounded, according to medical sources in Gaza reported on Sunday, as cited by Wafa.
These figures date back to the beginning of the offensive on October 7, 2023.
Local health authorities stated that over the past 24 hours, hospitals across Gaza received one new fatality and the remains of three others who were recovered from the rubble. Additionally, five injured individuals were admitted for treatment.
Since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, 2025, Israeli forces have killed 716 Palestinians in Gaza and injured 1,968 others. During that same period, rescue teams have managed to retrieve 759 bodies from the wreckage.

Health officials added that a significant number of victims remain trapped beneath collapsed buildings or lie unretrieved on the streets, as rescue and medical teams are still unable to reach them due to ongoing hostilities and infrastructure destruction.[]
