Doha, MINA — Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani has emphasized that the Gaza ceasefire cannot be considered fully realized without a complete withdrawal of Israeli military forces from the Gaza Strip. He warned that without such a withdrawal, lasting stability in Gaza remains uncertain.

Speaking at the Doha Forum on Saturday, Sheikh Mohammed described the current situation as fragile and highly sensitive. “A ceasefire cannot be completed unless there is a full withdrawal of the Israeli forces, and there is stability back in Gaza,” he told participants at the annual international diplomatic conference.

The ceasefire, which took effect on October 11, was achieved through intensive diplomatic efforts led by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States. Palestinian resistance groups have publicly acknowledged the vital role played by these mediators in bridging differences and facilitating the cessation of hostilities.

Turkey has also emerged as a significant actor in the ceasefire process, despite Israeli objections to its involvement. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has been coordinating closely with regional partners, including Qatar and Saudi Arabia, to monitor adherence to the ceasefire agreement.

The United States has recognized Turkey’s contribution as well. US officials have stated that Turkish engagement was instrumental in reaching the Gaza agreement, noting that Ankara played a constructive role in advancing the negotiations.

Despite these diplomatic achievements, Sheikh Mohammed cautioned that without concrete steps toward full Israeli withdrawal and sustained security guarantees, the ceasefire remains vulnerable to collapse.[]
