The security authorities had deployed several members of the security apparatus in and around Sopore town and the market as the separatists are observing the 19th anniversary of a militant attack on security forces in 1993 which killed around 55 people.

A search and cordon operation was launched to track down the perpetrators and the injured were taken to a nearby hospital, the police said.
